Elton owns more than 250,000 pairs of glasses

The spectacles-loving rock star once claimed to own a "quarter of a million pairs of glasses", and there's no doubt his collection continues to grow.

He recently told The Sunday Times, the reason why he never performs without his trademark glasses is because he feels "exposed" without them.

Elton even launched his own line of glasses. After retiring from touring, he recently ended his longtime partnership with fashion house Gucci, who designed many of his frames.
