The 27-year-old actress swapped her dark locks for a completely different look before unveiling the results at the premiere of her new movie 'Challengers' on Tuesday (26.03.24) and now her hairstylist Ursula Stephen has explained why now felt like the "right time" for her to do so.
She told E! News: "She has been wanting to go blonde for quite some time and felt this press run was the right time. Her colorist did a great job at customizing the right blonde for her."
Zendaya's stylist, Law Roach also revealed the transformation on social media, where the former Disney Channel star posed in a blue button-up shirt and blue and white striped shorts to show off her new bob.
Alongside the post, he wrote: "Feeling herself cuz she light blonde."
The 'Dune' actress previously explained that she liked to have "fun" with her looks because it all helps her find her characters for the big screen.
She told Vogue: "I just enjoy clothes and playing with them and creating new characters.
“That’s what I find fun about fashion – its transformative quality, its ability to be like storytelling.
"I prefer to have my hands free. So either I have a small bag – like a crossbody, that I can take with me everywhere.
“As long as it can fit my phone, lip gloss, and a little camera. I am one of those people that like to fill their bag.
“I gotta put my computer in it, I gotta put this, I gotta put that. So I’m either going all or nothing. I’ve gotta have options. I need options."
